Janet Schuler

Canals & Trails Credit Union

Janet was named President of Canals & Trails Credit Union in September 2011. She has been with Canals & Trails Credit Union since 2002 and before that she the Operation Manager and Member Service Representative.

Canals & Trails Credit Union has been a member of the Lockport Chamber since 2008. Janet was also named Vice President of the Lockport Chamber of Commerce in February 2017 and has been on the board since 2013. She also serves on the Lockport Rotary Club as secretary and before served as their treasurer. In addition, she joined the Zonta Club of Joliet in May 2016, which focuses on empowering women though service and advocacy.

Janet is currently working towards her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. When she is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband Ron, and daughters Kelsey and Morgan.

Pete Colarelli
CITGO Lemont Refinery

Pete works for the CITGO Lemont Refinery as their Government and Public Affairs Manager in the Midwest Region and has been a member of the Lockport Chamber Board of Directors since 2009, serving as its President from 2013-2015.

Pete attended Providence Catholic High School in New Lenox and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Thomas Aquinas College in Santa Paula, California.  He also attended Lewis University in Romeoville and earned his Master of Arts degree in Organizational Leadership in 2006.

Pete served as a Lockport Police Officer for almost 10 years and earned Officer of the Year honors in 2000.  Mr. Colarelli left the police department in 2006 to serve as the Director of Development, Public Relations and the Lockport Township High School Foundation.  While at the high school, he raised money for student scholarships and teacher grants that were awarded throughout the school year. Pete also served two terms as a Lockport City Alderman from 2007-2015.

Pete is active in his church and volunteers as a marriage preparation presenter for the Archdiocese of Chicago. He lives in Lockport with his wife Angela and their ten children.

Bob Morris

Bob Morris has been lending his expertise and passion for his craft to the city of Lockport and the Lockport Chamber of Commerce for a very long time.

Bob holds his Bachelor Degree in Architectural Studies and Masters of Architecture from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.  He has also attended the Les Ecole Des Beauxs Arts in Paris, France and is a Licensed Architect and Registered Interior Designer in the State of Illinois.

Bob has been president and owner of Orbis Architects, Inc. for the past 9 years of his 33 year career as an architect, and is a major supporter of all things Lockport as noted by his involvement in local organizations and politics.

He has been involved with the Lockport Chamber of Commerce at Board level for 6 years and also currently serves on Lockport Mainstreet Board of Directors, and on the College of DuPage – Building Technology Advisory Board.  He previously served on Lockport City Council as 3rd Ward Alderman for 4 years and served on Lockport Heritage and Architecture Commission for 25 years.

Bob was born and  raised in Crete, Illinois and resides in Lockport with his daughter Hannah. He can balance all kinds of things on top of a pen.  In his free time, Bob enjoys Photography, Art, Architecture and Historic Preservation, Camping, Reading, and his Church (he leads a small group for men who want to be better men, husbands, and fathers).


Mervet Nolte
Sizzles Restaurant

Mervet Nolte and her restaurant Sizzles joined the Lockport business community in August, 2014 and she has been moving and shaking ever since.  Merv is a self-made entrepreneur who is no stranger to hard work and total diligence.  She believes in corporate and political responsibility and that businesses should nurture the communities they serve.

In addition to her restaurant, Merv strives to make Lockport a better place by volunteering her time through several local charitable causes.  Mervet joined the Lockport Chamber Board of Directors in February, 2015 and she has been instrumental in assisting other small businesses and introducing innovative ideas to the Lockport Chamber.

Ryan works for Edward Jones Investments in Lockport.  At Edward Jones, his mission is to help individuals achieve their serious, long-term financial goals by understanding their needs and implementing tailored solutions.  He has been with Edward Jones since 2008.

Ryan was born and raised in Lockport.  He attended Lockport Township High School and earned his degree in finance and banking from the University of Missouri.  He has been a Lockport Chamber member since 2008 and has served on the Board of Directors since 2009.

Ryan lives in Lockport with his wife Ashley, their daughter Addison and their son Camden.  In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family, golfing, boating and Mizzou football and basketball.

Lisa came to the Lockport Chamber in November, 2013 with a background in event planning and administration.  Service to others in a kind manner is of the utmost importance to her!  She is fortunate to be surrounded and supported by an amazing Board of Directors who truly appreciate her dedication to the Chamber.

Lisa was born and raised in the LaGrange area and majored in English with a minor in Journalism at Northern Illinois University.  She lives in Lockport with her husband Matt and their 3 young children. Lisa and her family enjoy supporting Lockport so don’t be surprised if you see her around town.  Make sure to say hi!

When she’s not out and about advocating for Lockport, Lisa likes to relax with her family and friends, cook (and eat!),  run, read, travel and entertain.
